# Bridging Tokens to Arbitrum

Tokens can be bridged to [Arbitrum](https://arbitrum.foundation/) using a variety of platforms. This guide covers the official Arbitrum bridge and two popular multi-chain bridges. You can also transfer directly from centralized exchanges that support Arbitrum withdrawals (Binance, Coinbase, OKX, and others).

> **Note:** You need ETH on your source chain to pay gas fees for the bridge transaction. It is recommended to start by bridging ETH, since ETH is also used to pay transaction fees once you are on Arbitrum.

## Official Arbitrum Bridge (Ethereum → Arbitrum)

The official bridge at [bridge.arbitrum.io](https://bridge.arbitrum.io/) transfers assets from Ethereum mainnet to Arbitrum One.

1. Visit [bridge.arbitrum.io](https://bridge.arbitrum.io/) and connect your wallet — ensure you are on the Ethereum mainnet
2. Enter the amount of ETH you want to transfer to Arbitrum One
3. Click **Move funds to Arbitrum One**
4. Verify the amount in the confirmation screen, then click **Confirm**
5. The transaction will show as **pending** — official bridge transfers take approximately 10 minutes
6. Once confirmed, your ETH is available on Arbitrum One

> **Note:** The official Arbitrum bridge only supports Ethereum → Arbitrum transfers. For bridging from other chains, use one of the multi-chain bridges below.
