๐ŸŒ‰Bridging Tokens to Arbitrum

How to bridge ETH and tokens to Arbitrum using the official bridge, Relay, or Hop Protocol.

Tokens can be bridged to Arbitrum using a variety of platforms. This guide covers the official Arbitrum bridge and two popular multi-chain bridges. You can also transfer directly from centralized exchanges that support Arbitrum withdrawals (Binance, Coinbase, OKX, and others).

Note: You need ETH on your source chain to pay gas fees for the bridge transaction. It is recommended to start by bridging ETH, since ETH is also used to pay transaction fees once you are on Arbitrum.

Official Arbitrum Bridge (Ethereum โ†’ Arbitrum)

The official bridge at bridge.arbitrum.io transfers assets from Ethereum mainnet to Arbitrum One.

  1. Visit bridge.arbitrum.io and connect your wallet โ€” ensure you are on the Ethereum mainnet

  2. Enter the amount of ETH you want to transfer to Arbitrum One

  3. Click Move funds to Arbitrum One

  4. Verify the amount in the confirmation screen, then click Confirm

  5. The transaction will show as pending โ€” official bridge transfers take approximately 10 minutes

  6. Once confirmed, your ETH is available on Arbitrum One

Note: The official Arbitrum bridge only supports Ethereum โ†’ Arbitrum transfers. For bridging from other chains, use one of the multi-chain bridges below.

Multi-Chain Bridges

Relay

Relay supports fast bridging between many chains including Ethereum, Base, Optimism, BNB Chain, and Arbitrum.

  1. Click Connect Wallet and sign in

  2. Select your source chain and token, then select Arbitrum as the destination chain

  3. Enter the amount to bridge

  4. Click Bridge & Swap

  5. Confirm the approval and transaction in your wallet โ€” you must have sufficient gas tokens on the source chain

  6. Your funds should appear on Arbitrum within a few minutes

Hop Protocol

Hop Protocol is another multi-chain bridge supporting ETH and stablecoins.

  1. Click Connect a Wallet and sign in

  2. Select the asset to bridge, the source chain, and Arbitrum as the destination

  3. Enter the amount and verify the amount you will receive

  4. Click Send and follow the wallet prompts to complete the transaction

Note: You must have sufficient gas tokens on the source chain to complete any bridge transaction.
